Don’t Take Her Away
She’s my sunshine, my whole world.
She’s my gift from the heavens above.
She’s my angel, my little girl.
And I’ve given her all of my love.
And it’s so unfair to ask me to let go.
She means more to me than you could ever know.
I don’t care what you say, and I don’t care if it’s right.
I’ll never let her go without a fight.
Please don’t take her away from me.
I’ll do anything if you’ll just let her stay with me.
I’m down on my knees and I’m begging you not to end it this way.
Oh please don’t take her away.
Maybe I’m selfish to want to keep her,
When I know that she doesn’t belong.
But I love her and I need her,
And I don’t see how that could be wrong.
I can’t bare to see her lifeless and so cold,
Having never had a chance of growing old.
You’ll have to tear her soul away from my cold dead hands.
I know that you could never understand.
But please don’t take her away from me.
I’ll do anything if you’ll just let her stay with me.
I’m down on my knees and I’m begging you not to end it this way.
Oh please don’t take her away.
She’s so fragile and so pure,
And I now that this world could be cruel to her.
And I know there’ll be hell to pay.
But please, please, please don’t take her away.
Don’t take her away from me.
I’ll do anything if you’ll just let her stay with me.
I’m down on my knees and I’m begging you not to end it this way.
Oh please don’t take her away.
